He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley A. Melton and Bonnie Jean (Scott); his grandparents, Calvin "Rhodes" Scott and Mary Evelyn Scott; his wife Janice "Dee" A. Melton (Williams); his grandson Steven Melton; and his brother Allen R. "Pat" Melton.
He is survived by: his son Greg Melton (Amy); his grandchildren, Kristen Heath, Judson Casebeer (Jackie), Emily O'Hair (Dustin), Shelby Wood, Annalese Stewart (Robert) and Sarah Melton (Jeremy Feltner); and his sisters-in-law, Sharon Miller (Dave) and Latisha "Lettie" Melton. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, extended family members and many, many friends.
