It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Martin of Speedway, Indiana, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on August 26, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Chester Martin and Mildred Martin (Thompson); his former wife Carol Ruth Martin; his brother Gerald Martin; his wife Erika Chambers; his children, Walter "Bud" Martin (Denise) and Jan Skirvin; his stepchildren, Andrea Oaldon (Mark), Glenda Chambers and Stephen Chambers (Pam); his grandchildren, Brian Martin, Jamie Smith, Christie Grisle and Ashley Benson; his great grandchildren, Isaah Smith, Noah Smith, Jayce Grisle, Susanne Grisle, Alexis Benson and Kala Benson; and his stepgrandchildren, Nathan Chambers and Kristen Chambers.
