He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Mae Ingram Froelich; his parents, Paul Froelich and Hattie Froelich; and his daughters, Paula Diane and Kathy Jo.

He is survived by: his sons, Richard Mike (Theresa) and Steven W. Froelich; his sister Sandy Hayden (Dave); and his close friend Mary Jane Brownfield. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
