He was predeceased by: his sister Lorna Spivey. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Dotlich Katterhenry; and his children, Brenda Kays (Todd), Kathy Skrzypczak and Jeff Katterhenry (Rhonda). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
