It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Marie Keel of South Whitley, Indiana, who passed away on January 15, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Abe Vanderpool and Betty Vanderpool (Shepard). She is survived by: her husband Robert E. Keel; her pets, Shadow and Bandit; her children, Robert Brian Keel of South Whitley and Belynda Hurd (David) of South Whitley; her grandchildren, Greggory Hurd and Amy Hurd of South Whitley; and her siblings, Ike Vanderpool of Andersonville, TN and Sarah Jones of North Point, FL..
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith & Sons Miller Chapel (208 N Maple St, South Whitley, IN 46787). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at the South Whitley Cemetery (7500 E State Rd 14, South Whitley, IN 46787).
