He was predeceased by: his parents, Loren R. Metzger and Olive L. Metzger (Miller). He is survived by: his former wife Linda "Lin" Powell; his wife Linda Metzger; his stepdaughters, Denise Shawver (Joe) and Laura Tolle (Chris); and his siblings, John Metzger (Beth) and Anita Sautter (Melvin). He is also survived by five grandchildren.
