He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred H. Thomson and Catherine Ruth Thomson (Colchin); and his siblings, Fred, Jim Thomson and Peggy Hill.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Dee Wendel; and his children, Bradley Thomson of South Whitley, David D. Thomson (Sheri) of Fremont, Indiana and Linda Sue Tincher (Steven) of Roanoke. He is also survived by four grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
