Stephen E. Silliman Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Stephen E. Silliman (South Bend, Indiana), born in Chicago, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 31, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Stephen leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Stephen may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He is survived by: his wife Julie (Engelhart) Silliman (Notre Dame); his sons, Carl, Scott and Timothy; and his siblings, William Silliman and Nancy Shaw. He is also survived by spouses, children and grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kaniewski Funeral Home (3545 N Bendix Dr, South Bend, IN 46628). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (52473 S R 933, South Bend, IN 46637).
