With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stephen John Berger Sr. of South Bend, Indiana, who passed away on September 28, 2024 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin J. and Mary E. Berger (Bickwermert); his brothers, Thomas, A. William, Kenneth V. and Richard Berger; his nephew Kenneth Berger; and his sisters-in-law, Judy and Hattie Berger.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Berger; his children, Stephanie Switzer (Eric) of Camby, IN, Stephen J. Berger, Jr. (Susan) of Mishawaka and Stacie Overmyer of Plymouth, IN; his grandchildren, Ryan, Rachel, Reed Switzer, Cody Milliman, Wyatt, Madilyn Berger, Megan, Morgan Overmyer and Bridget Messick; his siblings, George Berger (Judy) of Niles, MI, Carolyn Grzesk (Greg) of South Bend, Sister Mary and Philip Berger (Cynthia) of Auburn, CA; and his sisters-in-law, Sue Berger, Kate Vincent, Bev Brewer and Vickie Berger. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
