It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen Mathias Andert (South Bend, Indiana), who passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Andert and Pauline Andert (Steinhofer); his wife Rosemary Andert (Nemeth); his daughter Barbara; and his sister Mary Vukovits.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Andert (Brenda) of South Bend, Janice Andert of South Bend, Pam Anastasiou (Tasos) of Galien, Chris Andert of South Bend, Ed Andert (Yesenia) of Lakeville and Rosanne Andert of Oregon; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Miller (Joel), Jeffrey Smith, Michael Smith (Annalise), Jerry Andert, John Andert, Evan Andert and Haley Andert; his great grandchildren, Céleste Smith and Estelle Smith; and his sisters, Paula Bashover (David) and Josephine Wegh. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Zahoran Funeral Home (1826 Kemble Ave, South Bend, IN 46613). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (63568 US-31, South Bend, IN 46614). A burial will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mount Calvary Cemetery (US-31, South Bend, IN 46614).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.
