He is survived by: his sisters, Bertha Lopez (Andres, Sr.) and Elena Torres; and his children, Juan Angel Olivarez, Sr. (Viola), Martha Olivarez Garza (Ernesto), Placido "Chach" Olivarez, Jr. (Kim), Maria Elena Olivarez, Rigoberto Olivarez, Sr. (Terri), Rogelio Olivarez, Sr. (Sandy) and Maximiliano Olivarez. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
