He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Leon "Bobbie" Ford and Wilma Ford; his grandmother Jessie Kindred; and his aunts, Ola Williams and Katherine Peterson.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Johnson Ford; his children, Alexandria Ford, Andria Ford of South Bend, IN, Melinda Scott of Phoenix, AZ, Y'tonda Johnson, Delana Johnson of South Bend, Michael Ford, Jr. and Chaz Howell of South Bend; his siblings, Terry Leon Ford (Evette), Tony Ford of South Bend, Kerry Leroy Ford of Mesa, AZ and Tammy Ford Allen of Milwaukee, WI.; his granddaughter Alexandria Zan Ford; and his son Ellis. He is also survived by children, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a maternal aunt.
