The passing of Leon Bernard Bendit of South Bend, Indiana, born in Mishawaka, Indiana leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on October 11, 2024 at the age of 96. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Bendit and Helen Bendit (Gehring); his stepbrother Richard Schiffer; and his brother-in-law James Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Roth; his children, Deborah Carroll (Pat) of Niles, MI and David Bendit (Deb) of Landisville, PA; and his sister Marilyn Wilson. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the church may be made in Leon's memory.
