He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Lawson and Helen Lawson (Shafer); and his siblings, Bob, Kenneth and Barbara.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy; his children, Jasona Sioson (David), Michael Lawson, James Lawson (Patricia), Tera Lawson Coria and Jasmine Lawson; his stepchildren, Jennifer Tabor, Lindsey Tabor (Mike Sauter), Jaclyn Tabor-Lyman (Greg) and Brandon Tabor (Emily); his grandchildren, Sonah, Shaina, Cyan, Jaiden, Christopher, Grace, Hezekiah, Antonio, Gabriella, Julianna, BreYanne, Geneva, Anja, Lola, Asher, Kennedy, Gregory Beau, Rose, Landon and Nash; his great grandchild Azaleah; and his siblings, Larry, Patricia, Nancy and Linda.
Due to Covid-19, the family requests masks to be worn.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of John Michael Lawson may be donated to Palmer Funeral Home-Bubb Chapel to help offset funeral expenses.
