Hazel Lavera Huffman Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Hazel Lavera Huffman of South Bend, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 11, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Rees and Gladys Rees (Smith); her husband Donald Huffman; and her siblings, Margaret Kessler, Charlotte Morrell, Pearl M. Miller, Lois Ruth Smith, Charles Rees, Rev. Oscar Rees and Rev. Howard Rees.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cynthia Brehmer (Paul) of South Bend, IN and Beverly Miller of South Bend, IN; and her grandchildren, James Huffman of Elkhart, IN., Gregory Hintz (Margo), Andrea West (Daniel), Andrew Miller (Brianna), Robert Miller (Jacqueline), Abigail Weidner (Zachary) and Stephanie Huffman. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM at the Palmer Funeral Home - Guisinger Chapel (3718 S Michigan St, South Bend, IN 46614). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
