He was predeceased by: his parents, John Collins Sr. and Geraldine Collins; his siblings, Bobbie Jean Collins, Ollie Rochelle Collins (Perkins) and Col. George Ralph Collins; his brother-in-law David Charles Vinson; his grandparents, Lonnie, Lillian Luten, Alex and Ollie Collins; his aunts and uncles, Willie Collins, George Collins, Edward Collins, Walter Collins, Ladell Collins, Alexander Luten, Joseph B. Luten, Velma Collins, Lizzie Mae Baldwin, Eula Rowland, Mary Louise Stevens, Della Luten and Annell Waters; and his grandchild Leigha Jo Ann Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Toye Collins; his children, Carlton Collins and Tois Jones; and his grandchildren, Toriyona Jordan (Charles), Christopher Deynes-Collins, Aubriana Collins (Andy), Ariel Collins, Gabriella Collins, Trey Collins, Bralen Jones, Alayna Jones, Adriana Jones and Jazlynn Collins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 10:45 AM at the Laymen Chapel Cme Church (303 S Kenmore St, South Bend, IN 46619). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 12:20 PM at the same location.
