He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Overberghe and Angela Van Overberghe (Matthys); his siblings, Dolores Pajakowski, Lucille McMahon, Al Van Overberghe, Larry Van Overberghe and Rene Van Overberghe; and his siblings-in-law, William Pajakowski, Joe Szlanfucht, Jerry McMahon, Eugene Zehring, Sr., Charlene Van Overberghe, Emily Reiter and Theresa Van Overberghe.
He is survived by: his children, Tina Stoner, Jr. (Tom), Vikki Miller (Rob), Brian Van Overberghe (Elizabeth Szymanowski), Anthony Van Overberghe (Stephanie) and Eric Van Overberghe (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Tevin Stoner (Kayla Bishop), Chad Van Overberghe (Alyson), Megan Van Overberghe (Joe Gilbert), Brittany Gurtner (Cameron), Morgan Van Overberghe, Autumn Van Overberghe, Michael Van Overberghe, Brayden Van Overberghe (Alex Hamilton), Ryley Miller, Brooke Miller, Chloe Van Overberghe (Devin Gunnett), Chase Miller, Riggins Miller and Deklen Van Overberghe; his great grandchildren, Brynn Van Overberghe, Ayva Van Overberghe, Cayson Van Overberghe, Blaire Van Overberghe and Quinn Gurtner; his siblings, Sister Mary Alfonsa, Lois Krol (Vic), Richard Van Overberghe (Patricia) and Russell Van Overberghe (Linda); and his siblings-in-law, Veronica Van Overberghe, Diana Zehring, Lorrie Van Overberghe, Janet Matthys (Jack) and Clark Reiter.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Kaniewski Funeral Home (3545 N Bendix Dr, South Bend, IN 46628). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (56405 Mayflower Rd, South Bend, IN 46619).
