He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucius Turner, Sr. and Annie Mae Turner (Black); and his sister Ann Shenette Dixon. He is survived by: his wife Karen P. Gaines Turner; his children, Patrice Pittman of South Bend, IN, Yvonne Brooks (Tio) of Newport News, VA, Larry D. Turner II of South Bend, IN and Charity Turner of South Bend, IN.; his niece Sherica S. Gilliam of Dallas, TX.; his grandchildren, Tionne Brooks, Jaiden Brooks, Leigha Pittman, Ryleigh Pittman and Quinton Brooks; his brothers, Curtis Turner (Hattie) of Norfolk, VA, Lucius Turner, Jr. (Jan) of Lawrence, KS and Timmie Turner of Denver, CO.; his siblings-in-law, Jacci Gaines Davis of Atlanta, GA, Franklin D. Gaines Jr. (Linda) of Denver, CO and Terrence Gaines (Velitia) of Atlanta, GA; and his friends, Rene Taylor of Dallas, TX and Ricky Erby of South Bend, IN.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Faith Apostolic Ministries (909 N Bendix Dr, South Bend, IN 46628). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
