The memory of Edward J. Bishop Sr. (South Bend, Indiana), who passed away on February 9, 2025 at the age of 95, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Bishop and Lucill Bishop (Robinson); his wife Marcia J. Was; his son John Bishop; and his siblings, Mary Ellen McCombs, Hiram Bishop, George Bishop, Arthur Bishop and Russell Bishop.
He is survived by: his children, Theresa Wynen (Bryan), Regina "Ginny" Conrad Sr. (Rick), Wayne Bishop (Cathy), Rick Bishop (Nancy), Ken Bishop (Pam), Brian Bishop (Lisa), Tom Bishop (Mari), Bob Bishop and Ed Bishop Jr. (Patti); and his daughter-in-law Debbie Bishop. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Jude Catholic Church (19704 Johnson Rd, South Bend, IN 46614).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Foundation in memory of his wife Marcia.
