He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Conn and Katherine Conn (Hoch); his wife Helen M. Petrilak; and his siblings, Olive Lebo, Helen Bitterling and Harry Conn.
He is survived by: his daughter Lori Zimmerman (William) of Granger; his stepdaughter Karen Surma (Kevin) of Ludlow, Vermont.; and his grandchildren, Evan Zimmerman of Edwardsburg, MI, Ethan Zimmerman (Pachia) of Austin, TX and Elyse Zimmerman of Niles, MI. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Hanley & Sons Funeral Home "southwest Chapel" (23421 IN-23, South Bend, IN 46614). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Indiana American Legion Foundation in support of Hoosier Boys State and Indiana Legion scholarships.
