He was predeceased by: his father Emerson Nimtz; and his sister Barb Vidmar. He is survived by: his mother Margaret Nimtz (Tetzlaff); his children, Sarah Nimtz (Simon Hernandez) of South Bend, Dennis Nimtz of Mishawaka and Phillip Nimtz of South Bend; his grandchildren, Selena and Sirgeo Hernandez; and his siblings, Sharon Herban (Randy) of Osceola, Gail Walsh of South Bend, Rick Nimtz (Jan) of South Bend and Gary Nimtz (Kathy) of Lakeville. He is also survived by his 4 great grandchildren.
