He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustaaf J. Thomas and Bertha Thomas (Pengel); his brothers, Johan, Ronald and Hugo Thomas; his half-sisters, Olga and Marie Thomas; and his pet Duchess.
He is survived by: his child Kellyann; his wife Helen L. Thomas; his daughters, Angela Thomas-Rodriguez and Kelly Thomas-Morgan; his grandchildren, Mia, Kenny, Zoe and Justin; and his siblings, Netta Delchot of Paramaribo, Suriname, Cecilia Thomas of Paramaribo, Suriname, Gustaaf Thomas of Rotterdam, Netherlands and Eugene Thomas of Maryland.
