He was predeceased by: his parents, Burdette "Burd" Schweer and Wilma Schweer (Thompson); and his brothers, Don and Bobby Schweer. He is survived by: his wife Linda Schweer (Hudson); his children, Scott Uland (Robin) and Sharla Bruce (Mike); his grandchildren, Megan Hembree (Zac), Ashley Beaty (Derek), Zachary, Wyatt Bruner and Sophia Uland; his great grandchildren, Ella and Wayden Beaty; and his brother Richard "Dick" Schweer.

The family requests memorial contributions be made in Bill's honor to the Veterans Administration.
