Lawrence T. Burks Obituary
It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. We lost our father, brother, uncle, and friend Lawrence T. Burks (Solsberry, Indiana) on September 18 at the age of 71. Lawrence (Larry) was born on September 28, 1946, the oldest son of Warren and Dorothy Burks. Larry served in Vietnam and Thailand with the Air Force for 4 years. You will always be missed Dad. You provided for your 4 kids throughout your life and gave us a great example of how to live our lives with a strong work ethic, integrity, commitment to family, faith, and perseverance to overcome challenges. Your passion for the outdoors and the simple things in life made you someone to admire and respect. We will always remember you as someone we could confide in for honest feedback without prejudice. Your ability to be a great listener was one of your greatest skills. We wish we could have helped you more at the end with everything that you were up against. Dad you can rest your mind and body now...please know we love you and we will see you in heaven.
