He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Robert Benson and Ruby Louis Blankenship (Votra); his daughter Theresa Beeks; and his granddaughter Alesha Arrick. He is survived by: his wife Peggi Benson; his daughter Mona Arrick (Brett); his stepdaughters, Brandy Owens (Jamie) of Atlanta, Georgia, Wendy Meredith of Atlanta, Georgia and Kelly Meredith of Atlanta, Georgia; his grandchildren, Brandy Barnett and Dean Beeks; his stepgrandchildren, Reigann Owens, Jasper Owens and Sydney McLaney; his great grandchild Zayden Beeks; and his son-in-law Troy Beeks.
