He was predeceased by: his wife Esther Prater; his siblings, Talt, Asberry Prater, Roxie, Allie Hale, Lona Hughes, Lizzie Whitaker and Lola Robinson; and his great grandchild Hannah Gambill.
He is survived by: his daughters, Judy Carol Prater and Patricia Ann Hackworth (Ronnie); his sister Dotson Sears of Arizona; his grandchildren, Sarah Green (Jeromy) and Kaitlyn Gambill (Aaron); and his great grandchildren, Logan, Easton Green and Max Gambill.
