He was predeceased by: his parents, Raleigh Shepherd and Virgie Shepherd (Hale); and his wife Belvia Shepherd. He is survived by: his children, Brenda Peyton (David) of Monticello, IL and Marvin Shepherd of Sidney, IN; his grandchildren, Ryan Peyton (Catie), Jennifer Peyton (Shaun) and Michael Peyton; his great grandchildren, Palmer, Theo, Ensley and Jackson; and his siblings, Edward Shepherd, Eugene Shepherd, Joyce Hale, Jewel Joseph, Kermit Shepherd, James Shepherd, Haskel Shepherd and Janet Conley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
