He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Cornelius and Nancy Valley Pruett (Spaulding); his wife Olive Bell Walton; his daughters, Mary Lynette Bauer of Shoals and Katherina Jo Beard of Sarasota, Florida; his daughter-in-law Linda Pruett of Denver Colorado; his grandchildren, Joshua Bauer (Rachel) of Shoals, Jennifer Dearwester (Casey) of Loogootee, Kaili, Kash, Kenna Beard of Sarasota, Chris Pruett of Evansville, William Trevor of Denver, Andrea Lee Pruett and Lane Findley of Denver, Colorado.; and his sons, Lonnie Russell Pruett and Kim Hobert Pruett. He was also cherished by Several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
