He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Batman and Dorothy Batman (Fields); his son Walter Lee; and his siblings, Marlin, Helen, Charles, Raymond, Elsie and Harold.
He is survived by: his wife Anita Caviggiola-Hanners; his children, Karen Hewitt (Ralph), Rebecca Batman and Preston Batman; his granddaughters, Melissa Hewitt and Miranda Corbin; his stepchildren, Edna Moore and James Hanners (Susan); and his sister Mary Ann Batman.
Contributions in memory of Walter may be made to Crawford Cemetery.
