He was predeceased by: his brother Mark Akles; and his brother-in-law Robert Jones. He is survived by: his spouse Mable Wilcoxen; his children, Larry Joseph Akles, Kevin James Akles and Natalie Ann Sargent (Tim) of Winchester, Virginia; his grandson Tanner Akles of Loogootee; and his siblings, Sandra Jones of Shoals and Mike Akles (Sharon) of Shoals.
