He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Hovis and Nora Hovis; his siblings, Clay Hovis, Norman Hovis, Delmar Hovis and Donna June; and his pet Sunshine.
He is survived by: his children, Alan Hovis (Terri), Michael Hovis (Cheryl), Karol Hovis and Kim Hovis; his grandchildren, Valerie (Sam Hovis), Garret (Levi Tedrow), Kendall Hovis, Tanner (Sage Hovis), Johnson and Alex; and his great grandchildren, Miguel Tedrow, Juniper Tedrow, Eleanor June Harner and Romy King.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Martin County Humane Society.
