It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Larry Eugene Polk of Shirley, Indiana, who passed away on January 27, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene "Gene" Polk and Delight Polk (Paxton); his son Gary "Jake" Polk; his sister Sandra Kay; and his brothers-in-law, Ed Hatfield and John Nichols.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Polk (Tinkey) of Leesburg, IN; his children, Dennis Polk, Tim Polk (Lili) of Warsaw, IN and Sally Bailey of Leesburg, IN; his grandchildren, Jeff Polk (Christy), Krista Alm (Mike), Chris Polk, Jennifer Hatten (Cameron), Karla Shepherd (Joel), Janel Zehring (Brian), Jeremiah Polk (Rachael), Angie Jarrett (David), Jacob Polk (Rachel), Jordan Polk (Linzi) and Jared Polk; and his sister Dixie Nichols of Claypool, IN. He is also survived by 25 great grandchildren.
