He was predeceased by: his former wife Mona Ray Austin (Phillips); and his son Phillip Ray Austin. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Louise Austin of Shirley; his children, Michael Austin (Teresa) of Muncie, James Kevin Austin (Toni) of Indianapolis, Tommy Joe Austin (Denise), Terry Lynn Austin of Willow Branch and Debbie Austin Kramer (Bob) of Charlottesville; and his stepchildren, Danny, Tony Gray (Amber) of Winamac and Tracey Gray (Angie) of Anderson. He is also survived by several grandchildren; 4 sisters and 1 brother.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service (7355 IN-109, Knightstown, IN 46148). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.
