She was predeceased by: her parents, Alonzo Rutherford and Margaret Rutherford; and her siblings, Harold, Kenneth, Jim and Loretta.

She is survived by: her husband Rick A. Shilling; her grandchildren, Tyler J. Switzer and Margaret E. Switzer (Ellie); and her brothers, Robert (Annamae), Wayne (Connie) and Fred (Clare). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
