It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Porter of Shipshewana, Indiana, born in Thompsonville, Michigan, who passed away on July 24, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Claire Porter and Anna Porter (Cheylava); his wife Kristine Joyce Denune; and his brothers, Ed, Jim, Merle Dean and Clyde Davis Porter.
He is survived by: his children, Billy Porter of Shipshewana, Michael Porter of Shipshewana, Brad Porter (Brittney) of Shipshewana and Mechelle Porter of Ft. Wayne; his grandchildren, Tiffany Porter, Chandler Johnson, Kyle Porter (Shayntel), Erika Porter, Hunter Porter, Michael Houck and Tanner Porter; his great grandchild Zendaya Smith; and his siblings, George Porter of ElCajon, CA, Shirley Parrotte of Beulah, MI, Donna Mallison of Springdale Township, MI and Marilyn Burley of Thompsonville, MI..
Memorials may be given to Westview School Athletic Department to be used in a youth sports project.
