With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Samuel W. Yoder (Shipshewana, Indiana), born in Lagrange, Indiana, who passed away on December 6, 2018 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William D. Yoder and Elizabeth Yoder (Bontrager); his daughter Marilyn Bontrager; his great grandchild Lucas Miller; and his half-brother Monroe Yoder.
He is survived by: his spouse Elizabeth Raber; his children, Arlene Yoder (Marlin), Alice Miller (Wyman), LeAnna Bontrager (Jerry) of Topeka, Linda Plank (Elva) of Arthur, IL, Dorothy Fry (Calvin) of Shipshewana, Willard Yoder (Laverda), Lonnie Yoder (Ruby), Ferman Yoder (Linda) and Gerald Yoder (Marilyn); his son-in-law Richard Bontrager (late Marilyn) of LaGrange; his siblings, Daniel Yoder (Mary) of Middlebury, Perry Yoder (Verda) of Goshen, Mervin Yoder (Phyliss) of Topeka, Melvin Yoder (Vera) of Middlebury, Edna Miller (Henry) of LaGrange, Mary Lambright (Orlie) of Topeka, Polly Yoder (Mose) of Claire, MI and Mattie Graber (Ezra) of LaGrange; and his half-siblings, Ernest Yoder (Anna Mae) of Middlebury, Joe Yoder, William Yoder (Erma) of Goshen and Ida Swartz (Joni) of Berne. He is also survived by 41 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.
