With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lonnie E. Yoder of Shipshewana, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eli J. Yoder and Malinda Yoder (Hochstetler); and his siblings, Katie Chupp, Eldon, Omer and Gilbert Ray Yoder.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Mae Riegsecker; his children, Allen Yoder of Shipshewana, Gene Yoder (Wanda) of Shipshewana, Dale Yoder of Shipshewana, Dennis Yoder (Clara) of Middlebury, Kenneth Yoder (Colleen) of Shipshewana, Carol Wingard (Freeman) of Shipshewana and Dorcas Yoder (Loren) of Shipshewana; his friends, Dave, Dorothy and Larson Frey of Shipshewana; his siblings, Ruby Hochstetler of Bremen, Fannie Mae Mast of Goshen, Mary Ellen Gingerich of Nappanee, Nora Helmuth of Bremen, Inez Yoder of Bremen, Erma Bontrager (Josie) of Shipshewana, Eli Jr. Yoder (Wilma) of Nappanee, Harley Yoder (Rosemary) of Nappanee, Andrew Yoder (Leanna) of Topeka and Larry Yoder (Anna Mae) of Middlebury; and his sisters-in-law, Ida Yoder of Bristol and Ellen Chupp of Nappanee. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one step grandchild, one step great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Family's Residence (1300 N 1000 W, Shipshewana, IN 46565). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Nathan Lambright Residence (1225 N 1000 W, Shipshewana, IN 46565). A burial was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at the Naylor Cemetery (10625 W 250 N, Shipshewana, IN 46565).
