As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Sonya Faye may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her mother Brenda Faye Gibbs (Jones). She is survived by: her husband David John Willem; her father Don Michael Gibbs of Sheridan; her children, CJ Willem of Sheridan and Amber Gibbs-Willem of Sheridan; her grandson Tristan Gibbs-Willem of Sheridan; and her brother Jason Gibbs (Mandy) of Sheridan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kercheval Funeral Home (306 E 10th St, Sheridan, IN 46069). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to the American Cancer Society .
