He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Arthur and Opal E. Marcum (Jones); and his brothers, Bud and Bill Marcum. He is survived by: his close friend Gloria DeVol; his sons, Mike, Charlie Bill Marcum, Rocky and Kenneth DeVol; and his siblings, Phillip Marcum (Doris), Deborah Amen (Fred) and Richard Marcum. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
