With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert A. Abney of Sheridan, Indiana, born in Paris, Kentucky, who passed away on August 19, 2022 at the age of 74. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert A. Abney to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Harrison Abney and Robert "Red" Abney; and his sister Marcella "Cookie" Weaver. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Trainer Hayden; his children, Timothy Trainer (Sherri), Thomas Hayden (Kristi), Cathy Popejoy (Larry), Marcie Stamper, Robin Abney, Toby Abney and Beth Martinez; his siblings, Frank Abney, Ed Abney, Gilbert Abney, Tom Abney and Ginny Payne; and his half-siblings, Roy Tyre and Sara Murphy. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
