Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Richard Allen McCarty of Sheridan, Indiana, who passed away at the age of 72, on December 3, 2022. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth L. McCarty and Patricia A. McCarty (Goodknight); and his brother John McCarty. He is survived by: his family, Dick and Belinda; his wife Belinda McCarty (Bryan); his children, Bryan McCarty (Tone) and Robin Beesley (Richard); his grandchildren, Emma Thiess (Elijah), Nicholas Beesley, Erik McCarty, Espen McCarty, Ashleigh Beesley, Edmund McCarty and Elliot McCarty; and also, Evelynn and Emberly Thiess.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christ Covenant OPC 6070 N, 900 E. Sheridan, Indiana 46069 or the Sheridan Fire Department 506 S. Main St. Sheridan, Indiana 46069.

“If you would ask me to describe Dick McCarty in one word, I would say servant. He taught me to roof a house, build cabinets, etc. He built the first pulpit for our church. If you ask me what animated his love of service to other people, I would say his love for His Savior, revealed in acts of service to his brothers & sisters. Dick was a quiet man & he had a great sense of humor. He will be sorely missed here but he has arrived safely In that place where he now beholds his Savior.”
