She was predeceased by: her parents, Orval Birden and Margaret Birden (Pickard); her son Brian Scott Michael; and her siblings, Richard Birden, Zelma Bradley, Irene Bragg and Mary Robinson.
She is survived by: her spouse Allan Michael; her sons, Steven Michael (Annette) of Sheridan and Jeffrey Michael (Donna) of Frankfort; her grandchildren, Steven Michael, Jr. (Cheyanne), Jeffrey A. Michael, Christina Koehler (David) and Elizabeth Olovich (Richard); her great grandchildren, Sophia Olovich, McKenna Koehler and Layla Koehler; and her brother Robert Birden (Blossom). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
