It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lorita Ruth Thistlethwaite of Sheridan, Indiana, who passed away on November 9, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Wright and Phyllis Wright (Pettigrew); her sister Cathy Crull; her brother-in-law Roland Inskeep; her granddaughters, Melisa Shinault and Allison McColgin; and her siblings-in-law, Kathryn Jayne Wright and Rollie V. Goff.
She is survived by: her daughters, Pamela Fosnight (Richard) of Sheridan, Tara McColgin (Jerry) of North Carolina and Veronica Lageschulte (Hans) of Hampton; her grandchildren, Mark Fosnight (Clem), Jeremy Fosnight (Christina), Doug McColgin (Brittney), Andy McColgin (Olivia), Jake McColgin, Nirali McColgin (Carson) and Jaquelyn Schenkel (Joey); her grandson-in-law David Shinault; her siblings, Larry "Bud" Wright (Ellen) of Sheridan, Arnold Pettigrew (Arlene) of Kirklin, Lora Goff-Pitts (Rex) of Westfield and Judith Inskeep of Sheridan; and her sisters-in-law, Karen Buzan (Morris) of Sheridan and VaRae Blount (Robert) of Anderson. She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to the Alzheimer's Association.
