With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary Joe Merrill of Sheridan, Indiana, who passed away on January 23, 2025 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Montie Merrill and Dorothy Merrill (Wiles); his parents-in-law, Jim and Hilda Haughey; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Merrill, Carolyn McKinney and Jimmy Haughey.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Merrill (Haughey) of Sheridan; his daughters, Erin Merrill-Macy (Travis Macy) of Sheridan and Lindsey Martin (Ryan Martin) of Sheridan; his grandchildren, Auburn Macy, Ralston Macy, Ayers Macy and Alyssa Martin; his brothers, Mike Merrill of Cole Cape, MO, David Merrill of Warsaw, MO and Scott Merrill (Teresa) of Westfield, IN; his siblings-in-law, Michael McKinney and Cathy Rudd; his brother Eddie; and his sister-in-law Connie Mossburg. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Sheridan Kids Coats , c/o First Farmers Bank and Trust.
