He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Alan "Pete" Hoffman and Marianna Hoffman (Pettigrew); his wife Deanna Hoffman (Fisher); his children, Charles Waylon Hoffman of Sheridan and Morgan Irene Hoffman of Sheridan; his sister Jessica L. Hoffman of Jacksonville; his nieces, Kenadi Warm and Ronna White; his nephew Drew Warm; his grandparents, Shirley Arnold Pettigrew of Kirklin, Charles A. "Chuck" Hoffman and Pauline H. Hoffman-Fox (King); his stepgrandfather Robert Fox; and his grandmother Mary Arlene Pettigrew.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to the American Heart Association.
