He was predeceased by: his parents, William C. Branson and Edna May Branson (Stanley); his wife Martha Joann Tucker; his siblings, Jerry Stanley Branson, James L. Branson and Mary Charlene Branson; and his pet Mitzi.
He is survived by: his siblings, Sharon Turner (Lynn) of Arlington and John Branson (Peggy Leslie Humbles) of Shelbyville; his sister-in-law Sharon Branson of Shelbyville; and his pet Missy. He is also survived by three daughters; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
