He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur E. Higgins Sr. and LuVena Higgins (Carmichael); his wife Brenda J. Higgins (Thomas); his son Kyle; and his grandsons, Cole Ross and Mitchell Burnett.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kimberly Ross (Chris) of Shelbyville and Lori Burnett of Shelbyville; and his grandchildren, Katie Ross (Max Pierson), Bailey Burnett-Schnur (Alex) and Madison Burnett (Jacob Broaddus).
