With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard E. Guffey of Shelbyville, Indiana, born in Hoopeston, Illinois, who passed away on February 3, 2023 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Guffey and Rosie Pearl Guffey (Furguson); and his siblings, William Paul Furguson, Wilma Jean Guffey, Carolyn Sue Guffey and Joyce Kelsay.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Guffey (Forrest); his children, William "Billy" Guffey (Shirley Brown) of Shelbyville, Ronnie Guffey (Chasta Johnson) of Waldron and Christina Guffey (Brian Adams) of Shelbyville; his siblings, Jim Guffey (Kathy) of Flat Rock, Ray Guffey (Debbie) of Bean Blossom and Doris of Indianapolis; and his grandchildren, April, Amanda, MacKenzie (DJ), Ricky, Ashley (Trey), Ericka (Coy), Eddie (Emily) and Rylan. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
