She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett V. Wiley and Goldie Irene Wiley (Durbin); her husband Charles A. "Bud" Helfer; her siblings, Donald Wiley, Janet Griffith and Judy Bowers; and her niece Melanie Griffith.
She is survived by: her sons, Charles "Gene" Helfer (Debbie) of Shelbyville and John David Helfer (Sarah) of Shelbyville. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home (437 Amos Rd, Shelbyville, IN 46176). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
