She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert L. Pate and Odessa Marie Pate (Gilbert); her husband Loran Martin; her daughter Sherry Marie Marks; her siblings, Eula Bruner, Robert "Bob" Pate and Jimmy Pate; her grandson Christopher Young; and her great grandchild Lauren Martin.

She is survived by: her daughters, Sheila Myers (Tony) of Shelbyville and Toni Dobbins (Russell Young) of Shelbyville; her brothers, Gilbert Pate of Shelbyville and Charles "Pete" Pate of Shelbyville; and her grandchildren, Todd Marks (Kim), Michael Marks (Jenny), Brian Martin, Michelle Valdez (Miguel), Amanda Garcia, Danielle Cox (Avery), Alisha Myers, Jason Myers (Erica), Adam Myers (Jessica) and Kevin Myers (Jordan). She is also survived by 32 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home (437 Amos Rd, Shelbyville, IN 46176).

“Toni, your mom was always so kind to me when we were growing up and treated me as one of the neighborhood girls, even though it was my Aunt June & Uncle Ray's hood, where I stayed more hours a week than my own home thru elementary school. I recall so many fun days at your home, mostly playing outside and running around the hood. Your Mom always fed me while there, just like another daughter of hers. I know your pain, it's been over 6 years since Mother went to heaven. BLESS YOU Friend!”
